The Alpha Gamma Rho Future Leaders Scholarship was created to recognize two incoming students at the University of Illinois that have demonstrated exceptional leadership, involvement, and academic performance, qualities which are expected to create outstanding leaders of the future. The Future Leaders Scholarship provides two, $2,500 scholarships to selected recipients. Selected recipients are not required to join the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. 
 
Recipients of the Future Leaders Scholarship must be first-year, admitted, and active students to the University of Illinois that are in good standing. This may include freshmen, transfer students, and junior college transfers. Preference will be given to initiated members of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, and priority will be placed on individuals displaying exceptional leadership, academic performance, community involvement, and character.
 
The deadline for applications is May 1st. Please include a 300 word or less self-introduction that discusses your leadership experience, involvement in the agriculture industry, and future plans in the “Tell us about yourself and your future plans” section. If you have limited involvement in the agriculture industry, then please discuss why you chose the University of Illinois and have an interest in Alpha Gamma Rho.
